HAPPY NEW YEAR?

Entering 2022 with my peers having Covid from 2019 just sounds ridiculous - or maybe it's Omarion (at least this joke is making him popular again). Anyway, this pandemic started at the end of 2019 and we haven't had a truly HAPPY new year since. In a few days, a new year will roll in and I may just say "here we go!" like Super Mario instead.

Happy New Year? I mean, sure. The government isn't listening to us. People are fighting against each other based on personal choice. Racism still is very alive. Rich are getting STUPID rich. Middle class are becoming the Lower class. Kids are losing some of the best years of their lives indoors. Truthfully not here to sound depressing, these are just the facts. If the past two years has taught us anything at all, it should be that WE are the ones that are going to need to change this. The people in power do not have the best interest of the ACTUAL people.

Covid babies. Covid start-ups. Covid marriages. A lot of positive did come from this era we currently are residing in and I hope such beautiful things can still continue. Giving up absolutely will not be the solution. Keep living your life and adapting to the environment now surrounding you. I think the most beneficial part of this era has been the ability to pause and evaluate. There's never been a faster yet slow-paced time than right now. I don't even understand how months keep burning up, yet the time in each day still moves so slowly. Utilize these moments to plan. To rest. To breathe. To detach. To understand. To trust. And to change.

Happy New Year? We will be written about in history. This is not a normal time any of us are living in. So I advise that you start creating your history the way you want it remembered. We may still be in this two years from now.. But that doesn't mean you still need to be in the same place. I believe everyone's New Year resolution should be to adapt.
