DAY 193

Being a full-time entrepreneur and working entirely for myself is like being expected to take the game-winning shot every single day and make it – if you make the shot everyone loves you and is on your side, but if you miss that shot it’s all on you and nobody even wants to talk to you. That’s the kind of pressure that you must be confident handling if you ever decide to take this route in your life. Believe me when you make those game-winners life is bless.. But you need to remember there will be many times where you miss that shot badly.

Today marks Day 193 since I left my desk job - a roller-coaster of experiences to say the least. There is a certain type of person who thrives under pressure and there are others who panic and crumble. If you panic and crumble, this direction is not advised. Time management is integral and self-motivation is mandatory in order to push yourself when you’re tired and sleep looks very attractive. I have managed to accumulate a total of 94 clients - hearing that number back in January would be a joke to me – but it’s no joke and I worked my ass off every single day for this. I plan to do something very special for both myself and my supporters once I reach 100 clients – I must admit that a large portion of those clients are from people referring me to friends and family and expanding my network larger than I could ever do alone. People will grow you if you deserve to be grown – it’s a very simple formula. Be professional, build rapport, and remain consistent with everything that you put out.

One of the most common things I notice in many other creatives is that they continuously compare their work against others they may deem as “better”. I don’t compare myself to anyone but myself. My story is very different than anyone else’s story – I also have my own plans and my own path. What may work for someone else may not necessarily work for you. Also, success is extremely subjective to whoever perceives it. You can easily be successful doing things at the speed or skill level you reside at – the key is to learn how to capitalize on the skills you currently possess.. Then you just maximize those opportunities as you continue to improve and learn new things.

Talk soon.
