WORKING & PAYING BILLS IS NOT LIVING

Do you like your job? Just answer truthfully in your head if you plan on lying. Whether you fell into the debt cycle of post-secondary education or you’ve been taking random jobs since high school… I KNOW YOU FEEL TRAPPED.

Everything is getting more expensive. Bills don’t stop coming. Life keeps moving faster. But for some reason, your bank account seems to be the only thing that remains the same. The only way to change this path you’re currently taking is by refusing to wait. Simple as that. Some of us aspire to be rich – some of us aspire to be successful – some of us aspire to be famous – some of us aspire to be comfortable. Regardless of what you aspire to be… AIN’T SHIT GOING TO HAPPEN DOING THE SAME THING YOU’RE DOING RIGHT NOW – IT’S NOT WORKING. Sorry, I digress.

There will come a time when you get tired of seeing other people that are less skilled than you, surpassing you and attaining things you probably are more qualified for. Unless you enjoy bitching and complaining, do something about it. We are in an era where information is so accessible that there is absolutely NO EXCUSE for you to be doing nothing. You should be striving to be so busy that you’re forced to turn down the “fun” sometimes – you should have goals much bigger than getting drunk on the weekend.

I’ll keep this one short and sweet for you guys because regardless of what I say, the majority of you will go back to the same bullshit you’ve been doing. For the few that needed this spark, find something you currently cannot do very well – research ways to improve at it – read and watch tutorials (Youtube is more than just home videos) – put time into yourself, then watch what happens.

I knew absolutely nothing about photography 3 years ago – other than taking a million selfies for Instagram. As you know I have my own brand, so I needed photos of models in my clothing to market more effectively. Like most people, I went searching for photographers to help me. I ended up paying someone to do one shoot for me – that’s all it took for me to WAKE THE FUCK UP. Yo! Why am I paying this guy to do something I can just teach myself? My next move was to buy a camera – the next move was to research how to use it – the next move was to teach myself everything I needed to create the photos I saw other people taking – the last step was to go out there and practice. Fast forward to today, I’m doing photoshoots for other people and recently received the contract for my first wedding shoot.

The choice is yours.
